Well, only 12 days to go until Christmas and no sign of slowing down in the Go Real office! I am off to Surrey tomorrow to deliver 10 new trial kits and training to the Children's Centres who will be hosting them. That means that there will be a total of 24 trial kits around the county of Surrey from January onwards.
I will also be popping in to Banbury on Thursday to give some training on Real Nappies to the community waste prevention officers, which is fantastic as it will mean that they can deliver good advice on behalf of the Local Authorities that they work with.
I am then hoping to avoid all snow and get back in time to share a bit of Christmas cheer with all of the volunteers who help out with our various projects at ReZolve, including Go Real.
Last week we had the exciting news that Austin Mitchell MP has submitted an Early Day Motion (EDM) on our behalf, following our lobbying activity earlier in the year. The EDM can be viewed here and is number 1169. The EDM is a great opportunity for us to get support for Real Nappy promotions by urging MPs to sign it and they can also lead to good public and media interest. In the New Year we will be contacting all MPs ourselves to encourage them to sign it and will also be encouraging you to contact your local MP.
On the website front we have been busy adding lots of new pages including information on trial kits, a quick questions page and a Christmas gifts page. We are also pleased to have reached 1,000 "likers" on Facebook! Next we are moving on to overhaul the members' website, so watch out for lots of new information and services!
Well that's probably it from us for 2010, we hope that you have a fantastic Christmas and a very Happy New Year, and we will see you bright and early in January for the Real Nappy Week 2011 build up!!!
